• About

Jacobs' work explores the delicate relationship between our existence as material and concept.  The materials that she works with: video projections, time-based media, glass, and ice, function metaphorically to illustrate the ambiguity of the body as well as the mutability of memory and identity.

  • Earning her BA from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, with a concentration in fine art and philosophy, she then earned an MFA in photography from the University of New Mexico.

  • Jacobs is an Assistant Professor of Media Arts at New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Her work has recently been exhibited at the Museum of New Art in Detroit and the University of North Dakota.
